Please find below some opinions from our vegetable box clients.
"I picked up a brochure about Bon Vivant Ltd and decided to try out their vegetable box scheme. I was looking for a reliable home delivery service that provided, where possible, local produce at competitive prices and Bon Vivant seemed to meet my expectations.
I emailed Simon Gibson, the Director/Head Chef to ask a few questions about the delivery service and received a prompt and courteous response, so I placed my first order.
I received my order on the day arranged and was delighted to find a wide selection of fruit, vegetables and salad items. My husband and I unpacked the basket (yes, there are ‘recycled’ wicker baskets to cut down on unnecessary rubbish – just leave it out for the following weeks’ order) and then planned our menu for the following week. Each week, we receive a ‘random’ mixed box and plan our weeks’ meals around the contents. We are eating more healthily as a result, with a greater variety of fruit and vegetables. I have to be honest and admit that the occasional ‘rogue’ turns up in the box. What I mean by this is that I have to do an Internet search to ‘identify’ a particular fruit or vegetable. I suppose you could say my general knowledge has also improved as a result of eating more fruit!
What do I like about Bon Vivant?
There is a great range of fruit and vegetables on offer, with the option to add more products to an order if required. These include fresh bread (highly recommended), oils and olives, and a range of wines. Also available is a wide range of homemade desserts. (and don’t get me started me on the merits of the apple pie with streusel topping!)
The whole range of products are well-priced and offer great value. Delivery is prompt and left in a mutually agreed place. This is complimented by an easy to use web-site, and a prompt, friendly response to any queries.
Good luck to Simon and Bon Vivant – keep up the good work."-L. Partington (Little Budworth, Cheshire)
